There’s usually more happening in the moment before the pose. The bad lighting. The laugh someone tries to hide. The second right before they realize the camera is on them. The things that feel small in the moment are usually the thins that end up making the photo.

Authenticity doesn’t have one look and we don’t think every person should be photographed the same way. It can be bold, polished, quiet, strange, clean, load, or something in between.
